Transfer news: Man Utd Greenwood £40m bid as Arsenal eye Bayern ace | Football | Sport

Everton manager Sean Dyche isn’t expecting to lose many, if any, players in the January transfer window.

Dyche sanctioned several departures in the summer to trim his squad for financial reasons.

And he’s, therefore, keen to avoid losing many more while his options are slim during the festive period.

He said: “I think it’s fair to say that with a slim squad, you don’t want to lose players. I don’t think there’s much reality in those situations.

“In one way, it’s a backhanded compliment. I don’t think there were too many talking about our players when we got here, and now they are.

“That’s pleasing, the player’s development and the club’s recent development to make sure we’re on a better foothold. It’s a compliment in a way, but I don’t think there’s a reality in them stories.”
