Fans ask ‘can it play right-back?’ as MOUSE invades Etihad pitch during Man City’s win over Sheff Utd

FORGET MICAH Richards, it was all about Mice-ah Richards at the Etihad on Saturday.

Man City made it two wins from two since returning back from Saudi Arabia as Club World Cup champions.

But, despite the victory putting them within two points of leaders Liverpool, they were upstaged by a mouse.

The rodent was an unlikely pitch invader in the Cityzen’s match against Sheffield United.

And it caused much hilarity when a video clip of the moment was released online.

One fan joked: “Can it play right back?

A second posted: “The Etihad literally as quiet as a mouse.”

A third quipped: “The mouse at Etihad left home & told his family to watch TV, he will make an appearance dribbling the camera man.”

While a fourth added: “It was the night before NYE, at the Etihad house, not a creature was chanting, not even that mouse!”

Man City marched up to third in the Premier League with a comprehensive 2-0 win.

Rodri set them on their way after just 14 minutes, following great work from Phil Foden.

Substitute Oscar Bobb’s slide rule pass then found Foden, who squared the ball to Julian Alvarez to score at the back post.
