And amid Man Utd’s hit and miss form this season he twisted the knife further by turning provider as Nuno Espirito Santo‘s revamped Forest won 2-1.

However, his match-winning assist for Morgan Gibbs-White is not what infuriated Man Utd fans.

Rather it was the action he did after he was substituted in the 87th minute.

Fans spotted the 21-year-old smiling and pointing to his club badge while on the sideline.

Reacting to the act on social media, one fan said: “Elanga pointing to the Forest badge as he’s subbed off smiling 😭😭😭😭.”

A second said: “Elanga pointing to the Forest badge when he comes off. What a nerd.”

A third said: “What’s that nonsense touching of the badge that Elanga is doing?”

Another fumed: “Elanga pointing to the Forest badge what a snake.”

While a fifth added: “Elanga flexing that Nottingham badge. Fairs.”

Elanga’s six assists mean he has twice as any Man Utd player this season.

The Forest win shoots them up the table to 15th and moves them five clear of the drop zone.

Meanwhile, Man Utd remain in seventh, nine points off the top four.
