Goals from Raul Jimenez and Bobby De Cordova-Reid sealed a comeback victory for the home side.

Tempers appeared to boil over during the match, with Rice and Gabriel spotted in a heated exchange.

Just moments before De Cordova-Reid’s winner, the pair were seen pointing and shouting at each-other.

Gabriel could be seen shouting at Rice in front of goalkeeper David Raya, before the midfielder argued back.

Arsenal had already been pegged back by Jimenez after taking an early lead through Bukayo Saka.

However, their afternoon got even worse less than two minutes later as De Cordova-Reid put the Cottagers in front.

The defeat follows Arsenal’s 2-0 home loss to West Ham on Thursday in another blow to their title hopes.

Mikel Arteta’s side picked up just a single point during their three matches over the festive period.

Liverpool could extend the gap to the Gunners to five points with a win over Newcastle on Monday night.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are now not in league action again until they host Crystal Palace on January 20.
