Littler’s mum posted a video of her son opening presents under the Christmas tree, which included an Old Trafford stadium tour, only for him to be invited to the ground less than two weeks later.
“For Christmas, I got stuff for my Xbox, a controller, some gift cards and two tickets for the Manchester United stadium tour,” he said. “So I will go to that after the Worlds. I’ve never done a tour before. Just watched a few games there.”
He was told that he could be going on the tour with the Sid Waddell Trophy, only to joke: “Hopefully I’ll show them how to win one!”
Littler was alongside James Maddison for Spurs’ 3-1 win over Bournemouth on New Year’s Day but will be rooting against the England midfielder on January 14 when Ange Postecoglou’s side travel to Old Trafford. Littler will be hoping to cheer on Ten Hag and United as world champion.
