Manchester United have shown a ‘sudden interest’ in Ecuadorean prospect Oscar Zambrano.

The LDU Quito midfielder has emerged as the latest top talent from the South American nation, seeing him dubbed the ‘next Moises Caicedo’ as a result.

According to El Futbolero, United and Brighton are the latest sides to join the race to secure the signature of the 19-year-old.

Luton Town are also in the frame but have already seen an opening bid for Zambrano knocked back, with Quito hoping to entertain offers from the two newly-interested sides before striking an agreement for his sale.
