After Donny van de Beek and Jadon Sancho, Manchester United are set to axe at least four more players this month.

The Red Devils’ January transfer window has thus far been exclusively a story of exits. Donny van de Beek and Jadon Sancho have been loaned to Bundesliga sides Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Dortmund, respectively, and more departures are in the works.

According to the journalist Chris Wheeler, at least four more Man Utd players are expected to depart this month, though it seems that those transfers will do little to alleviate the club’s Financial Fair Play concerns as they all appear to be initial loan deals.

The Red Devils are once again operating on a restricted budget which means that any incomings will likely be either cheap deals or loans. As FootballTransfers confirmed, Sir Jim Ratcliffe will give Erik ten Hag a handsome transfer kitty in the summer, but the INEOS chief’s investment won’t influence the Dutchman’s winter business.

Mejbri, Pellistri and more

According to Wheeler, youngsters Hannibal Mejbri, Facundo Pellistri, Dan Gore and Joe Hugill will depart Old Trafford this month. Hannibal is currently the subject of a transfer battle between Sevilla and Everton, and despite the former holding a long-standing interest in the Tunisian, the Toffees now appear to lead the race for his signature.

Pellistri, meanwhile, has recently been linked with a loan move to PSV in the Eredivisie. The winger is also said to be courted by Flamengo from Brazil, Villarreal from LaLiga and the LA Galaxy, who are reportedly keen on a permanent deal.

Young striker Joe Hugill appears to be on the verge of joining League One side Burton Albion and Dan Gore is also expected to leave the club at some point this month. The latter was recently linked with a shock permanent move to Borussia Dortmund.
