Ex-Man Utd ace caught up in near AFCON flight disaster as oxygen fails and stars pass out | Football | Sport

The Gambian national side have avoided a fatal flight incident on their way to the Africa Cup of Nations after the cabin oxygen supply failed on their aeroplane.

The squad, that included former Manchester United player Saidy Janko, were on a flight from the capital city of Banjul heading for the Ivory Coast for the tournament when problems occurred. According to reports, a number of players passed out just moments after boarding the aircraft.
