Sancho could stay at Dortmund

Jadon Sancho could stay at Borussia Dortmund past the end of the season.

The Manchester United winger re-joined the German giants on loan for the remainder of the season.

And despite Dortmund not holding a buy option, the club’s director Sebastien Kehl has refused to rule out a permanent move in the summer.

He said: “We don’t have a buy option for Sancho.

“Staying here beyond this season? You can never rule anything out… but we know what kind of market value he can generate.

“I’m not naive – but we’ll let things come to us.”

Solanke too expensive for Newcastle

Eddie Howe has explained that his side won’t be able to afford the signing of Dominic Solanke this month.

Newcastle had been linked with a move for the December Premier League Player of the Month, but Howe has shut down any rumours.

The Magpies boss – who signed Solanke for Bournemouth when he was Cherries boss – cited his price tag as the reason a deal wouldn’t be able to go ahead.

I love Dominic Solanke, I signed him and I rate him very, very highly.

But we have not made an enquiry for him and we don’t have the ability to sign a player of that level.

Ramsdale told to consider West Ham

Stan Collymore has suggested that Aaron Ramsdale should consider a move to West Ham.

He told CaughtOffside: “I wonder if West Ham might fancy him.

“They’ve got Alphonse Areola and Lukasz Fabianski as their two senior keepers but both are into their 30’s with the latter close to turning 40, so it seems a change in that position is coming sooner rather than later.

“Could Ramsdale be the man for David Moyes? – I think so, and I also think that’s one club that could offer him exactly what he’s looking for.

“The Hammers are a big enough club that their players are considered for international duties, they have had recent success in Europe, and by the manager’s own admission, are now aiming to establish themselves as a Champions League side — that seems like the perfect project for a player like Ramsdale.”

Villans can leave club

Unai Emery has confirmed that duo Callum Chambers and Bertrand Traore can leave Aston Villa.

He said: “We’re going to face three competitions until the end of the season that are very difficult so we ned the players to be ready.

“We have the players here. Some players can leave.

“Calum Chambers and Bertrand Traore can leave, and in that case we can think about adding some players, but not at the moment. I want to support the players we have now.”
