Casemiro, 31, only returned to training last week amidst speculation that Sir Jim Ratcliffe could look to offload him.

However, Erik ten Hag appears to have the former Real Madrid man back at his disposal.

During Sky Sports’ pre-match coverage, they had an interview with Roy Keane and Jamie Redknapp in the Manchester United dressing room.

Eagle-eyed fans spotted Casemiro‘s shirt up in one of the player seats next to Christian Eriksen and Scot McTominay.

Casemiro was filmed by the club’s media team arriving at Old Trafford at ahead of the game.

He could be heard saying “good morning” and “hello” to ground staff.

He also signed autographs for fans outside of the stadium.

The potential return has left Red Devils’ supporters excited and optimistic for the clash against Tottenham.

One posted: “We are cooking Tottenham today.”

A second wrote: “Welcome back.”

A third commented: “That midfield together with Kobbie Maino? Blud Tottenham do not stand a chance.”

A fourth said: “I’m smelling an absolute masterclass from Casemiro.”

Another added: “Goody goody morning Case is back!”

Ratcliffe and Ineos are still believed to be keen on getting the Brazilian off the wage bill.

He joined United from Real Madrid for £60million in August 2022 — is on a £350,000-a-week salary and still has two and a half years left on his contract.
