MANCHESTER UNITED face a potential banana skin after Newport County secured a dream FA Cup home tie by beating Eastleigh.
The League Two and National League outfits drew 1-1 ten days ago before the draw was made for the fourth round.
And it was all on the line tonight with both knowing a money-spinning showdown against the Premier League giants was now on the line.
Aaron Wildig got them off to a dream start by firing them ahead after just three minutes to silence the home crowd.
But Eastleigh drew level through Paul McCallum moments after the break as the non-leaguers started to dream.
However, Newport dashed those hopes and earned themselves the plump cup clash.
James Clarke put them back into the lead on the hour mark, and then Will Evans sealed it by doubling their advantage with just ten minutes to go.
Now Coughlan and his fourth tier outfit will be counting down the seconds until 4.30pm on January 28 when the 12-time winners come to town for the game that will be televised live on BBC One.
Meanwhile, West Ham were victims of a shock result as they were dumped out of the cup by Bristol City in their replay.
Tommy Conway fired the Championship side ahead in the third minute and they held on to that lead – with the Hammers also being reduced to ten-men shortly into the second half when Said Benrahma was sent-off.
Birmingham City will travel to Leicester City after they came from behind to beat Hull City 2-1, Koji Miyoshi winning it in the 94th-minute.
