Lyon push for Everton winger

Everton could lose Arnaut Danjuma half way through his loan spell.

The 26-year-old joined the Toffees at the start of the season on a season-long loan from Villarreal.

But the deal could be cut short this month with French club Lyon said to be pushing to sign the Dutchman.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Lyon are in talks with Villarreal and Everton about a deal and Danjuma is understood to be keen on the idea.

Everton will have to give the green light on the deal that would see Danjuma have guaranteed game time in La Liga.

The former Spurs loanee has started just four Premier League games for Everton this season.

EXCL: Ipswich aim for Wednesday star

Ipswich are in talks with Sheffield Wednesday to sign Marvin Johnson but the Owls want a fee for the wing back.

Sources expect that a figure will be thrashed out between the Championship clubs in the next 24 to 48 hours.

Kieran McKenna is keen to bolster his ranks as he bids for a back-to-back promotion at the Suffolk club.

But the 33-year-old has become an integral part of the team since Danny Rohl took charge at Hillsborough.

Johnson has scored three goals in 13 appearances for the Owls since he returned to the side in November.

The Wednesday ace has struck up a bond with the fans and was admired for his professionalism after being bombed out by ex-boss Xisco Munoz.

A Hillsborough insider told SunSport today: “He wasn’t even registered to play under Munoz but during that time he was training as hard as ever, showing a hunger to keep himself in good shape.

“So when Rohl took over, he was raring to go – and enjoyed playing for the German.

“But this is a great chance for him to further his career – moving to a club that could be in the Premier League next season.”

Millwall confirm Tanganga deal

Millwall have confirmed the loan signing of Japhet Tanganga from Tottenham.

The 24-year-old will join the Championship side for the remainder of the season.

Millwall boss Joe Edwards said: “For us to be able to bring a player of his pedigree, who has played in the Premier League and Champions League, into the club is pleasing.

“He’s a defensive player, right-sided and athletic, so he makes us better.”
