Liverpool will perhaps feel lucky to be going in 1-0 up – and 3-1 up on aggregate.
Fulham at times have been electric in attack but have left their shooting boots in the changing rooms, where they now sit needing to conjure a plan to turn this around.
Liverpool’s goal was fortunate to say the least, and they have made a few half chances, but are lacking a bit of zip and cutting edge some of their replacements may bring in the second half from the bench.
Fulham are not out of this by any means, and an early goal in the second half could spur them on to produce a stunning comeback.
However, they are arguably thankful their skipper Tom Cairney is still on the pitch after a nasty studs-up challenge on Alexis Max Allister, which was only worthy of a yellow.
Jurgen Klopp had his hands on his head fearing the worst, but Mac Allister was able to limp on into the sound of the half-time whistle.

45+4. Nunez switches play with a diagonal ball which is plucked out of the air by Elliott brilliantly.
He bends a cross into the back post with Gravenberch and Nunez lurking.
The Dutch midfielder looks to get on the end of it but cannot turn it towards goal, in fact, his touch does completely the opposite.
