MIKEL ARTETA has been Arsenal manager for over four years now and is hoping to win some major silverware at the end of the season.
The Gunners boss started his tenure at the club with some success as he won the FA Cup in the 2019/20 season.
Since then, Arteta has built the team into a force which almost won the Premier League title last term.
Arteta, however, may be gone at the end of the season, according to reports in Spain.
Why is Mikel Arteta trending on Twitter?
Spanish outlet Sport say that Arteta is thinking about LEAVING Arsenal at the end of the season.
The Premier League was rocked with the news that Jurgen Klopp would be leaving Liverpool earlier this week.
And Arteta ending his reign as Gunners manager would be another blow to the league.
The rumours over Arteta’s future comes off the back of Xavi’s departure at Barcelona too.
Xavi will leave his post as manager of the Catalan giants at the end of the season.
And Arteta has been linked with taking over at the club he began his career with.
The Spaniard’s Emirates contract runs until 2025.
But Arteta is apparently planning an early exit in June and has told staff around him to prepare for it.
Arsenal currently sit third in the league, five points off leaders Liverpool, with Man City sitting in second place.
