According to the Daily Star, Al-Nassr are currently leading the race to sign Varane.

The Saudi Pro League side are even willing to offer him a deal worth up to £50million-a-year to head to the Middle East.

By joining Al-Nassr, Varane would be reuniting with former team-mate and club captain Ronaldo.

The Frenchman is out of contract at Old Trafford in 2025 and United have rejected the option to extend his deal by a further year.

He has instead been given permission to speak to other clubs as the Red Devils look to get the 30-year-old off the wage bill.

Varane became the club’s highest paid player on a reported £340,000-per-week when he signed from Real Madrid in 2021.

However, he has been limited to just nine Premier League starts so far this season and only 21 total appearances across all competitions.

A reunion with Ronaldo at Al-Nassr is now on the cards, following 232 appearances alongside each other at Real Madrid and United.

The pair won 15 trophies together with the Spanish giants, including four Champions League triumphs.

Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in January 2023 following his United exit.

He is currently the Saudi Pro League top scorer with 20 goals in 18 matches this season.

Meanwhile, Al-Nassr are second in the table, seven points behind unbeaten league leaders Al-Hilal.
