Christian Eriksen transfer admission made by Prem rival as Man Utd future in doubt | Football | Sport

Brentford boss Thomas Frank has made his feelings clear regarding a potential transfer for Christian Eriksen. This comes amid rumours that the midfielder might leave Manchester United in the summer.

Eriksen, who joined United as a free agent in 2022, has become less of a key player at Old Trafford recently. Despite this, he is still valued by manager Erik ten Hag, but finds himself behind Kobbie Mainoo and Scott McTominay in the team selection.

Reports suggest that Galatasaray are keen on signing Eriksen, but a return to Brentford could be beneficial for everyone involved. With less than 18 months left on his contract and having started only nine Premier League games this season, this summer might be United’s last chance to sell him before his contract ends.

Frank insists that Eriksen will always be welcomed back at Brentford while he is in charge.

“He will always be welcome back! Christian will always be,” he said to Danish magazine Tipsbladet. “I think he knows that well. And we know he had a good time here.

“I understood well why he went to United back then, and I’ve said that publicly. I also think he’s done well. Of course, he had an injury before Christmas for a while. But if Christian wants, he’s very welcome.”
