Bruno Fernandes and Jack Grealish send messages to England debutants after Brazil loss | Football | Sport

It was a night to remember for the England debutants on Saturday evening when they were handed the chance to kickstart their international careers against Brazil. However, it was a Selecao breakthrough star who stole the show at Wembley Stadium.

Endrick, 17, came off of the bench to score an 80th-minute winner for Brazil in a 1-0 win, becoming the youngest-ever male goal scorer at the stadium. The teenager’s late cameo earned him plenty of rave reviews, with some floating the idea that he has shades of Romario.

The England debutants did not let the scoreline overshadow what was an important night in their respective careers, with Mainoo posting a series of photos from the match with the caption: “Special feeling making my senior England debut at Wembley and in front of my family. A moment I will never forget. Now we bounce back and refocus on Tuesday.”

Comments of support poured in for the teenage sensation, with Fernandes replying: “First of many”. Harry Maguire also responded ‘Deserved mate’, with Alejandro Garnacho writing ‘What a guy’.

Villa star Konsa was similarly bombarded with praise after he posted two photos from the match with the caption: “I’ve dreamt of this moment since I was a kid. To make my debut and wear the England shirt is something I’ll treasure for the rest of my life.”
