Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus sends reminder to Liverpool after Gunners dropped to second | Football | Sport

“This time it was a bit different. We knew from the start that, at some point, we had to suffer a little bit (playing) deep. They are a team who love the ball, we do as well, but sometimes it is difficult.”

Attacker Jesus was forced to do plenty of defending against his former side but insists he is happy to help out where needed. The Brazilian added: “The way I am, I try everything I can to help my team. It doesn’t matter where I play, I always try to do my best. And here, I did it.

“I was very deep. Normally I am not that deep, but I had to play as the winger, and I think I helped my team playing like this. But the most important thing, I think, is sometimes if you cannot win, you do not lose.”
