Four possible opponents for Union Saint-Gilloise, which will not be seeded, in the third qualifying round of the Champions League.

Union Saint-Gilloise once again failed to clinch the second spot in the Belgian championship, just behind Club Brugge.

A disappointment for the Unionists, who will nevertheless return to the European stage next season, in the Champions League. RUSG will begin its journey in the third qualifying round and already knows its four potential opponents.

Tough competition ahead for Union in the Champions League

The residents of Parc Duden (and Lotto Park, in European competitions) will not be seeded and will have a tough task ahead to join the Club in the big pool of 36 teams in this new format of the competition.

Union Saint-Gilloise’s four potential opponents are Rangers featuring Nicolas Raskin and Philippe Clément, Slavia Prague, Red Bull Salzburg, which has just seen both domestic titles slip away to Sturm Graz featuring Dimitri Lavalée, and Lille.
