Courtois ruled out of Euros due to injury.
A few months ago, while still in the midst of his rehabilitation, Thibaut Courtois announced that he would not be participating in the Euros as he would not be fully fit in time.
Despite the Belgian eventually making his return for the final few league matches and the Champions League final, Belgium manager Domenico Tedesco opted not to call him up for the tournament.
Courtois’ summer plans
Courtois is currently enjoying a holiday in Sardinia with his wife, Mishel Gerzig, with photos of their trip posted on social media by Gerzig.
It is not known whether the couple followed the Red Devils’ performance on Monday in Frankfurt. Courtois had previously stated that he would be the national team’s biggest fan during the Euros.
