Official: Sporting Charleroi announce new arrival

The club continues its work on professionalising its sporting department.

Sporting Charleroi have officially signed Rudger Van Snick, who becomes the new Head of Performance for the Zèbres.

His arrival is part of a sporting restructuring led by Rik De Mil and supported by the Management, as the club points out in its communication. “The club is working on professionalising the sporting department with the aim of coordinating and supervising the players of the Pro squad,” reads the statement.

Van Snick arrives from Westerlo, where he worked alongside Rik De Mil. Prior to that, he spent eight years as a physical trainer at Anderlecht: “When I was at Anderlecht or Westerlo, it was always difficult to come and play here. This feeling of working for a club with supporters like those of Charleroi really makes you want to do even better. My ambition is to help the club to professionalise and to show that we can progress in all areas,” said Van Snick.
