Belgium vs Romania: probable lineups

There’s a real contrast in moods in Group E as Belgium, wounded after a shock defeat, take on a Romania side buzzing after a big win. Domenico Tedesco’s Red Devils were stunned 1-0 by Slovakia in their opening match, while Romania put three unanswered goals past Ukraine and are dreaming of reaching the knockout stages.

Tedesco has a few injury worries. Key players like Axel Witsel and Thomas Meunier are out, while Jan Vertonghen might miss this game too. Youri Tielemans is a likely replacement in midfield, and exciting youngster Johan Bakayoko could get a chance to impress on the wing.

Romania, on the other hand, have a clean bill of health and are unlikely to make many changes to their winning team. The only question mark is over the left wing, where Parma’s Valentin Mihaila might get the nod over Florinel Coman.

Probable Lineups

Belgium: Casteels; Castagne, Debast, Faes, Theate; Tielemans, Onana; Doku, De Bruyne, Trossard; Lukaku

Romania: Nita; Ratiu, Dragusin, Burca, Bancu; R. Marin, M. Marin, Stanciu; Man, Dragus, Mihaila
