Having missed out on the Euros with Belgium, Michy Batshuayi is set for a busy summer. The striker is expected to leave the club.
Michy Batshuayi’s contract with Fenerbahce expires in a few days. The striker could extend his contract – which includes an option for an additional season – but is more likely to leave.
Indeed, as has been revealed, the Belgian is strongly attracting the interest of reigning Turkish champions Galatasaray. The Istanbul club, Fenerbahce’s arch-rivals, are offering him a signing-on fee to lure him (For more information, read HERE).
Fenerbahce have not yet given up on keeping the player and could try to match his demands. However, it is highly likely that he will not continue his adventure at Fenerbahce.
Batshuayi to Galatasaray, Memphis Depay to replace him at Fenerbahce?
According to Turkish media outlet Sozcu, Fenerbahce have already identified a potential replacement: Memphis Depay. He is currently playing at the Euros with the Netherlands.
Depay, who plays for Atlético Madrid, will also be out of contract in a few days’ time. It is worth noting that Besiktas, another Istanbul club, are also interested.
