Sporting Charleroi and Pierre Patron have parted ways. The French goalkeeper leaves the Mambourg after two seasons.
While awaiting the departure of Hervé Koffi – who will be replaced by Theo Defourny (ex-RWDM) – Charleroi have bid farewell to their second-choice goalkeeper. Pierre Patron (26) leaves Charleroi and joins Quevilly–Rouen Métropole. The club played in Ligue 2 but was relegated to National at the end of this season.
“Quevilly–Rouen Métropole is delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Pierre Patron for the next two seasons. Having previously played for Clermont Foot, Le Mans FC and Charleroi, the club is thrilled to welcome its first summer transfer window signing!”, the club announced on its website.
Pierre Patron arrived at Charleroi in the summer of 2022 from Le Mans as a free agent. Intended to be Koffi’s understudy, Patron stepped in for the Burkinabé at the drop of a hat.
Last season, he made 6 appearances for the first team, also playing in Nationale 1 with the Zebra Elites. This season, Patron played 9 matches (4 in Pro League, 5 in Nationale 1).
Patron leaves Charleroi as a free agent. His contract included an option for the next two seasons but was ultimately not extended.
QRM est très heureux de vous annoncer la signature du gardien de but @pierre_patron pour les deux prochaines saisons. Passé par le Clermont Foot, le Mans FC ou encore Charleroi, il est la première recrue de notre mercato estival !
