Romelu Lukaku’s future is uncertain for the time being. The striker is indeed for sale but for the moment, no club has yet wanted to put in the sum demanded by Chelsea.
And if we know that Antonio Conte has made him a priority at Napoli, there is another Italian club in which the Belgian’s name is currently mentioned. After the departure of Olivier Giroud to Major League Soccer, AC Milan are looking for a new striker.
“If it’s doable, we must do it”
“He’s a good striker. He’s at the top level and after a mixed start with Belgium, I don’t mind him now. I think Milan need a striker, an essential reference point and I would go and get him. If it’s doable, we must do it. Skeptical because he was at Inter? I would still see him well at Milan,” says former Italian player Stefano Impallomeni.
And when asked if it wouldn’t be better to sign for Napoli, he replies: “It would be better to sign for Milan because Naples needs to rebuild. It’s an atmosphere that creates pressure. There are too many question marks there, I don’t know if he can make the sacrifices he made with Conte at Inter. He needs to sacrifice himself but he’s 31 years old…”
