Official: RAAL replaces Jorn Vancamp with a gem trained at Neerpede!

A sensational transfer for RAAL. Back in Challenger Pro League, the Louviérois club has lost Jorn Vancamp, its top scorer, but is replacing him with another great talent trained at Anderlecht.

How do you replace a player who scored 21 goals in 34 National 1 matches? With a player who scored 27 goals in 25 matches, admittedly at a lower level. RAAL announced this week the signing of Momo Guindo (20 years old), a striker trained at RSC Anderlecht where he was renowned for his immense talent.

Guindo arrives from Zulte Waregem, where he played for the U23 team. And the least we can say is that he made a big impression there, scoring 27 goals in 25 D2 VV league matches. This was his first “real” season after signing for Pro Vercelli at a very young age in Italy, where he played 18 Serie C matches.

At RSC Anderlecht, it was rather Mohamed Guindo’s rather strong character that pushed the club to let him go, but no one ever doubted his intrinsic talent. He was also physically well ahead of his age.

At RAAL, the Belgian-Malien (he is an U23 international with Mali) will have a lot to do to succeed Jorn Vancamp, who has left for Excelsior Virton. The former Anderlecht striker had found his form and his pleasure again, scoring 21 goals in National 1.

Momo Guindo has signed for two seasons at the Tivoli, where the season for promotion to Challenger Pro League is being prepared behind the scenes.
