Red Devils: the controversial scene

On Wednesday, the Red Devils qualified for the last 16 of the Euros, but it was not in a way that will be remembered fondly.

The match started with stress caused by a more than hour-long delay in getting to the stadium, and it also ended in some tension.

A scene that is causing controversy

At the final whistle, the Belgian fans booed the players, most of whom went back to the dressing room without acknowledging them. Before that, Domenico Tedesco had made a gesture that has caused controversy.

As he gathered the group on the pitch, the Belgian cameras tried to get close to the group but the coach quickly pushed them away. Several players echoed the coach’s request for the cameraman to move away.

On the RTBF side and its consultants, the reaction was to suggest to Tedesco that he should hold his meeting in the dressing room if he did not want to be bothered by the cameras on the pitch.
