Tedesco lets rip: “I’ve never seen anything like it in my life”

Domenico Tedesco appeared very frustrated at a press conference, and for a surprising reason. From the outset, the coach indeed tackled… the organization of the match.

After briefly discussing the situation concerning the supporters and their boos towards the players, Domenico Tedesco indeed let out an unusual rant on his part about the organization of the match, here in Stuttgart.

“Let me say something: the circumstances in which we arrived at the stadium today, I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. Never,” Tedesco began. “It took us an hour to get from the hotel to the stadium, as the road was blocked. The police escort stopped at every red light, sometimes driving at 25 or 30 km/h.”

Delay to the stadium, lasers on De Bruyne…

The Red Devils therefore arrived late at the Stuttgart Arena and had to cut their warm-up short. “They didn’t even consider delaying the kick-off by 15 minutes,” lamented the Belgian coach. Kevin De Bruyne, for his part, played it down: “We can’t use that as an excuse, we had plenty of time.”

However, this was not the only difficulty encountered by the Red Devils in this match: Kevin De Bruyne was the target, at the start of the match, of numerous lasers pointed at his face. “Everything was allowed, yes,” Tedesco sighed.

“During the first match, we were unlucky with some decisions, tonight the circumstances were difficult, and yet, we qualified. So yes, I’m proud of my team,” he concluded.
