Medical underway: Standard’s first summer signing nears

Marko Bulat is in Liege to undergo his medical tests. Ivan Leko should therefore soon welcome his compatriot.

With Standard’s transfer ban lifted, the Rouches’ transfer window can finally get underway. Even if the management still does not have a very full purse to do their shopping.

In this context, free or on-loan players are prime targets. The profile of Marko Bulat has therefore been on the table for a few days now.

The 22-year-old Croatian defensive midfielder is approaching in the form of a loan.

777’s approval is still needed

According to SudInfo, his arrival is on the right track: the former U21 international is currently undergoing his medical tests. Standard and Dinamo Zagreb have negotiated a purchase option. But the deal would not yet be completely finalized, the Liege team waiting for the approval of the decision-makers of the Football Group of 777.

It is therefore to be hoped that 777 Partners will be quicker on the ball than on other recent cases, where the American investment fund appeared to be caught off guard by all the deadlines it has to meet.
