At 34 years old, Nacer Chadli will find himself without a club. His contract with Westerlo will not be extended.
Nacer Chadli has not played much for Westerlo this season. The left winger has only played 19 matches.
The cause of this season being far from his standards was several injuries, including one to his calf that slowed him down considerably.
Chadli was unable to bid farewell to Westerlo on the pitch. As Gazet Van Antwerpen explains, his contract will not be extended.
The left winger therefore finds himself without a club. A potential great move for a Belgian or foreign club, which could be interested in the former Red Devil (66 caps) and who has experience at major clubs (Tottenham, Monaco, West Bromwich and Anderlecht).
However, it is not certain that Chadli is still motivated to continue for many years in football after his recent numerous injuries. His former coach Rik De Mil had mentioned the subject a few months ago.
