Official: Antwerp raid Carlos Tevez’s former club for new recruit

Antwerp have officially confirmed the signing of Ayrton Costa. The Argentine is set to make his debut in Europe.

For the past few weeks, we have been reporting on the potential arrival of Ayrton Costa at Antwerp. The Great Old confirmed the transfer this lunchtime.

The player in question is a 24-year-old left-back who was playing for Independiente, the club that Carlos Tevez was managing until May.

Valued at €2 million by Transfermarkt, Costa has joined for a relatively similar fee. The Antwerp club have signed him on a four-year contract.
