RWDM have found their new striker for the upcoming season

RWDM are preparing for the upcoming season, following their relegation to the Challenger Pro League. Departures are expected, and therefore arrivals are inevitable.

As after each relegation, RWDM will need to rebuild. Yannick Ferrera remains captain of the ship and will therefore be able to compose his team to the best of his ability, with a little more time than he had when he arrived just before the Playdowns.

One of the first arrivals of this summer transfer window is a striker: Piotr Parzyszek (30) joins on a free transfer from FC Emmen (Dutch D2), where he played last season. Parzyszek played 40 matches in all competitions and scored 10 goals.

The Polish striker signs for one season (+1 optional) at RWDM, and this is his second spell in the Pro League. Indeed, Piotr Parzyszek had already worn the colours of STVV in 2014-2015, and was then under the orders of a certain… Yannick Ferrera.

The Pole had convinced at the time as he scored 12 goals in 32 games for the Canaries. It was at De Graafschap that he spent most of his career, playing 104 games for 57 goals scored. He also won a surprising Polish league title with Piast Gliwice in 2019.

RWDM have therefore theoretically brought in a goal-scoring guarantee with Piotr Parzyszek, which could mean the departure of Makhtar Gueye, who has two years left on his contract but could bring in a nice amount for the Molenbeekois and who could attract interest in D1A.
