Anderlecht discover their opponents for the UEFA Futsal Champions League main round

RSCA Futsal will face Spanish side Cartagena, Ukrainian side Hit Kiev and Polish side Bielsko-Biala in Group 1 of the main round of the UEFA Futsal Champions League Path A following the draw made on Thursday.

Like two years ago, the Anderlecht club will organize this mini-tournament in Roosdaal from 22 to 27 October next year.

Six high-level futsal matches will be played at the Alfasun Indoor Arena.

RSCA Futsal, Belgian champions and cup holders, can already prepare for strong opposition, as their three opponents were all crowned champions in their country last season.

Aiming for the Final Four

The top three teams from each of the four groups will qualify for the Elite Round, scheduled from 26 November to 1 December.

The draw will take place on 31 October and the matches will be played between 26 November and 1 December.

RSCA Futsal’s aim is to qualify for the Final Four, scheduled for spring 2025.

Last season, RSCA narrowly missed out on a place in the Final Four after finishing second in their group in the Elite Round, from which only the winner qualified.

The final victory went to Palma for the second year in a row, beating FC Barcelona 5-1 in the Final Four final in Yerevan, in an all-Spanish derby.

The previous season in Palma de Mallorca, for their first participation, the Belgian champions had reached the Final Four.

They finished fourth after being eliminated (1-7) by Sporting CP in the semi-finals, and then beaten 3-4 by Benfica in the consolation final.
