After a month and a half of negotiations, Anouar Aït El Hadj signs for four years with Union Saint-Gilloise

The former Anderlecht player leaves for a sum between 1.5 and 2 million euros.

After a month and a half of negotiations, there is finally an agreement between Genk and Union Saint-Gilloise for the transfer of Anouar Ait El Hadj (22). The former Anderlecht player felt that he did not get enough playing time in Limburg.

This season, he has only started ten times in the Jupiler Pro League. He has still scored four goals. He will sign for four years. The transfer fee is between 1.5 and 2 million euros. In January 2023, he had left Sporting for Genk for 2 million.

Genk did not want to get rid of him – when he played, he formed an impressive trio with his friends El Khannouss and El Ouahdi – but it was the player who insisted on forcing a departure. Aït El Hadj is delighted to return to Brussels, where he grew up and where his family lives. He will join Union Saint-Gilloise this week.
