Gent have been handed a difficult draw in the Conference League play-offs, while Cercle Brugge stand a good chance of progressing to the group stages.
The draws for the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League play-offs took place on Monday.
Union Saint-Gilloise learned that they will face the winner of Lille (France) and Fenerbahçe (Turkey) if they can overcome Slavia Prague (Czech Republic).
Anderlecht, in the Europa League, will play against either Dinamo Minsk (Belarus) or Lincoln Red Imps (Gibraltar). Meanwhile, Cercle Brugge, if they can get past Molde (Norway) in the third qualifying round, will face either Rijeka (Croatia) or Elfsborg (Sweden).
In the Conference League, Gent have been dealt a tough hand, as they will face the winner of Partizan Belgrade (Serbia) and Lugano (Switzerland) if they progress past Silkeborg (Denmark). This is arguably the most difficult draw the Buffalos could have received.
If they are eliminated by Molde, Cercle Brugge will be transferred to the Conference League play-offs. There, Miron Muslic’s men will face either Spartak Trnava (Slovakia) or Wisla Krakow, who are in the second division but won the Polish Cup.
