Union Saint-Gilloise will face Slavia Prague on the 7th and 13th of August in the third qualifying round of the Champions League.
Union has recently submitted its squad list to UEFA for the two matches against Slavia Prague.
Due to an insufficient number of club-trained players (a minimum of 4 are required), Union can only include 22 players instead of 25.
Against the Czechs, Union will be without both of their central defenders, Christian Burgess and Ross Sykes. Both are injured.
In addition, the absence of Jean Thierry Lazare Amani will also be noticeable. The Ivorian midfielder was absent against Beerschot due to a minor injury.
Interested in a new challenge, he could leave Union this summer, according to La Dernière Heure. No concrete leads have been mentioned so far. It should be noted that Loic Lapoussin, relegated to the B team, is also absent from the list.
