A lot is set to happen at Anderlecht over the next three weeks. Both incomings and outgoings. One of the sporting director’s priorities is finding a solution for Alexis Flips.
Alexis Flips wants a transfer and Anderlecht certainly won’t make things difficult. Signed last season, he also failed to convince Brian Riemer during pre-season. He doesn’t seem to have the physical attributes to fit into the Dane’s style of play.
Against OHL, he wasn’t even in the starting lineup. However, he is the player who generates the most interest among all those who could leave, but Anderlecht believe they can strike a good deal. The preliminary contacts so far have therefore not been taken seriously by Fredberg.
Anderlecht want to sell Alexis Flips
Anderlecht bought the 24-year-old attacking midfielder last year from Reims for €3.5 million and they also know that they probably won’t see that amount again, but Fredberg also doesn’t want to sell him on the cheap.
Meanwhile, Flips himself is insisting on finding a solution. He would prefer not to risk further injuries and hopes a solution will be found by August 30th. In France, England and Germany, the transfer window already closes on August 30th.
He would prefer to return to his home country rather than go to Turkey, where he played on loan last season. In addition to Flips, solutions must also be found for Diawara, Patris and Arnstad.
