At Union Saint-Gilloise, it’s well-known that holding onto your best players isn’t easy. This season is no exception.

Once again, several key players have already left the club, but there’s one in particular who is about to follow suit and leave a big void. Cameron Puertas has indeed played his last game against Slavia Prague.

Last game A match after which Alex Muzio came onto the pitch to try and comfort him after Union’s elimination from the Champions League. He whispered something in his ear, the content of which remains unknown.

In total, Puertas has played 118 matches for his current club, and this Friday, he won’t be part of the squad against Charleroi. Sébastien Pocognoli will therefore have to do without his services and find other solutions to move forward and continue the good results.

With a market value estimated at €15 million, the player who cost a little over €1 million in January 2022 should allow the Brussels club to make a very nice profit and have a significant sum to find a replacement.
