RSC Anderlecht are still looking to finalize some incomings and outgoings in the transfer market. With this in mind, the Mauves et Blancs could do business with Rangers. The Scottish Sun reports that Philippe Clement’s club would be keen on signing a player from the Brussels club.
Rangers Eye Arnstad
Rangers are interested in Kristian Arnstad. The 21-year-old Norwegian midfielder wants to leave Anderlecht and at the Lotto Park, they would be only too happy to cooperate. Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has already reported that Arnstad will not be extending his contract and could be signed for €1.5 million.
However, Rapid Vienna are not ready to give up either. Arnstad was brought to Anderlecht by Frank Arnesen. At first, he developed well and progressed under Vincent Kompany. But after the latter’s departure, things deteriorated completely for the Norwegian youth international.
A Decline After Kompany’s Departure
The player, like the rest of the Anderlecht team, had a poor year after Kompany’s departure, and Brian Riemer used him less and less. Arnstad was regularly forced to play as a left-back, which was not his position at all.
Arnstad would like to go to a club where he would play as a central midfielder, as he does with the Norwegian U21s. With them, he has always reached a good level.
