Last season marked Standard Liège’s 125th anniversary. Despite the on-field challenges, the club released some special edition kits to celebrate the occasion.
These kits were generally well-received by the fans. And this season, supporters seem equally pleased with the first two kits, particularly the return to the green of the 90s for the second strip.
A New Kit
On Monday, the club unveiled their third kit, opting for a white design. The club and kit manufacturer logos are red, as are the three iconic stripes on the sleeves. The main sponsor, meanwhile, is white on a red background.
It’s a fairly simple kit that relies on the details to make a difference. It’s reminiscent of a kit from the late 90s, when Cirio sponsored the Rouches.
